The Artist LeeAnn Herreid
LeeAnn Herreid is a professional jeweler whose career began in 1984 when she sold her first pieces and began a four year apprenticeship under a master goldsmith. From there she went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Light Metals from Rhode Island School of Design (Class of ’91). Creating unique jewelry pieces, LeeAnn founded her company Individual Icons in 1993. During the course of her career, LeeAnn has achieved national and international success including invitations to curated exhibits such as a show at the Victoria and Albert Museum, I.M.A.G.I.N.E. Peace Now, and is currently working with the Metropolitan Opera turning the crystals from the world-famous Sputnik chandeliers into wearable jewelry. After 25 years working at a jeweler’s bench, LeeAnn returned to school to earn a Graduate Gemologist degree at the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A.).
This website focuses on the one of a kind and custom designed jewelry that Herreid has been creating for the past 35 years. Much of Herreid's work involves rejuventaing estate jewelry and sorting out inherited jewelry collections. In many cases, we can create new pieces using your gold and gemstones. Please contact us if you are interested in something that you see, or would like our opinion on something you already own. We will be very happy to help you.
All jewelry is made to order – we keep no jewels and materials in stock.
