This glossy bracelet features direct embossing off of lace that was worn onstage at the Metropolitan Opera in NYC. The silver takes the details well if you use fabric made from a natural fiber and if you prepare the metal correctly. Inside of this one of a kind piece is a riot of hallmarks-Met Opera/ Herreid/ .925,/ Sterling, showing the wearer the provenance of the piece.
The idea of embossing lace onto sterling silver came to us after witnessing a leaking garage roof destroy 300 year old handmade Irish lace. We thought how much longer precious metals last than delicate textiles, and still think of this concept when in museums looking at ancient works of art.
