Family Crests have A LOT of information in them. They tell a whole story and are a complete language unto themselves. Imagine a group approaching your home- you don't know who they are- are they friends or foes? A big banner with their family logo emblazoned on it can let you know at a good distance if you should open up the armory or the larder. If it has such and such element in the upper left corner you would know- "Oh that is Harold's second born son". Simple. The caller ID of the Middle Ages...
Here is a scaled-down version of that long legacy, fit onto the small surface of a 14K gold diestruck signet ring. There was not enough room for the motto yet all of the pertinent information is there- the star, clouds, lion and field telling the viewer who you are and what clan you hail from.
Hand engraved in exacting detail. As is traditional, the carved image is in reverse so that the wax seal this ring produces faces up correctly. This is a family heirloom for generations to come.
