Green Tourmaline Ring

Green Tourmaline Ring

One of the trickier aspects of making tourmaline rings is how TALL these gems can be.  We don't want to make anything that sticks up a mile past your finger!  This forest green tourmaline had to be in a ring, but is also very deeply cut.  (That is where all of that glorious saturated color comes from)! We made, by hand, an 18k yellow gold bezel that fit the stone very precisely.  It looked best with a wide band, with a very slight dome on it.  To step down the transition, some gold architectural elements make the whole piece work and be in balance.  WHAT A HANDSOME RING!
