Sapphire and diamond flush mounted band, assymetrical
Why does everything have to be symmetrical? It does not. This ring was made for a 20th anniversary present for a very active glassblower and gardener. It is wide enough that there was enough room to put all of the stones clustered on one side of the band. Reminds us of the horizon of the ocean, or fireflies in a field. Many Montana sapphires and full-cut diamonds are scattered with the least amount of pattern that we could manage. This ring is unusual in the way that we did not put wash-out holes behind the stones. Normally this is a big no-no, but this particular person would get all sorts of stuff stuck behind the stones and then warp the band from all of her activities. This way it will last another 40 years. This comfort-fit 18K yellow gold band is 1 CM wide (about 3/8 inch) and costs about 3,500-.
